Hyflyte Whippets was established as a kennel with the Canadian Kennel Club in 2015 by Helen Ferguson

Hyflyte whippets excel and are proven on the lure coursing field, racing, sprinter, agility, obedience, rally, flyball, disc, dock diving, scent detection and barn hunt. Hyflyte whippets are trustworthy, loyal family partners. Helen stands by her dogs for life, selecting the most successful pairings to receive one and stands by the “always welcome home” policy. Puppy owners become part of the Hyflyte family for life with a network of support and direct communication.

You will find Hyflyte Whippets across Canada and the United States and as far away as Japan. Helen’s, and Hyflytes passion about healthy loved dogs that excel in their sports.

Helen first bred Staffordshire Bull Terriers and was mentored by Sylvia Barkey* and co-bred several Staffordshire litters throughout the past 20 years with Sylvia/Rolona Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Helen was also involved in the equestrian world with Sport Horses. With her previous life passions, Helen gained experience in the breed ring, whelping box and sports venues by titling her SBT’s and attending many SBT Specialties over the years to set her up for success with whippets. Helen was also an equestrian professional, managing, breeding and competing sport horses, which also provided another facet of life experiences to set her up to become a knowledgeable breeder and representative for versatile and performance bred whippets.

All Helen's selected breeding whippets are home raised, health tested*, with top performance records, puppies are CKC registered and eligible for American Kennel Club (AKC) registration.

Hyflyte's accomplishments are a reflection of a gold standard for breeders. Hyflyte Whippets’ success is simple: solid bloodlines, biomechanically sound conformation, health testing, athleticism and trainability and excellent temperament and stringent quality standards. Raised and proven in homes and in the performance ring.
